1. For me, I think that the reason of Isaac Newton does not contradict the argument of Aquinas. In physics, things that are at rest remains at rest. For it to be in motion it must be move by other object. Aquinas point of view is that God is the first mover and we are moved because of Him. For nothing can be the first mover except Him.
God is our prime mover. Human beings and the earth will not be created without Him. All living creatures will not exist in this world. The stars, moons, sky, clouds, sun etc. will not be present. All that appears in this world will not exist without our prime mover.
Motion has a broad explanation when it comes to physics. For physics explains all that is happening in this world most especially with motion. Think of the possibilities when God was not in motion. Do we think that we will exist? No, none of these things here on earth will exist when God was not in motion.
2. I don't have any ideas when you ask me who made God? My answer to that question would probably be a big question mark. My mind is set for only limited knowledge. Even if i will think about a good and pleasing answer still the same result will probably occur.
For me, it is not a valid question. Humans have very efficient knowledge about God. Philosophers argue about the existence of God, who made God, what caused God and is not completely done arguing with themselves.
God is the creator of time and he is outside time he has always existed and doesn’t need a cause. Validity of the question does not need for the premises to be true. But how it was answered.
